1Who we are
This Privacy Policy describes how the CatchUp – Supplement Tracker iOS application (the “App”) and the website becatch.app handle information. Both are published by:
Przemysław Raciborski
Email: support@becatch.app
For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the publisher is the data controller for the limited personal data described below.
2Data stored only on your device
The following information is created and stored locally on your iPhone (in an on-device database and app preferences). It is not sent to us or to any third party:
- Medications and supplements you add, with their dosages, schedules and supply counts.
- Intake history, logs and progress statistics.
- Reminder settings. Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device; no push server is involved.
- App settings such as language and units.
- If you used an earlier version of the App that had an onboarding questionnaire (for example gender, date of birth, height, weight, goals or wellbeing questions), those answers also stay only on your device.
Supplement names may also be added to the on-device iOS Spotlight index so you can search for them from your Home Screen. This index stays on your device.
Because this data never reaches us, we can't view, export, recover or delete it for you. You can delete it at any time by deleting the App. If you use iCloud Backup or computer backups, Apple may include the App's local data in your device backup, depending on your iOS settings.
3Data processed by third-party services
Only the following services receive data from the App:
Apple & RevenueCat
SubscriptionsApple's App Store processes all payments, so we never see your card details. RevenueCat, Inc. (USA) validates purchases and unlocks premium features. It processes:
- a random, anonymous app user identifier generated by the App;
- purchase and subscription details, such as product, price, currency, trial or renewal status, transaction IDs and the App Store receipt;
- basic technical data such as device model, OS and app version, country or storefront, and your IP address as part of the network connection.
RevenueCat isn't used for advertising, and we don't link this identifier to your name, email or identity.
Sentry
Crash & diagnosticsWe use Functional Software, Inc. (Sentry) (USA) to find and fix bugs. When the App crashes, hangs or hits an error, and for a sample of app sessions, Sentry receives:
- crash logs, error messages and stack traces;
- performance data, such as screen load times and app hangs;
- technical breadcrumbs describing recent in-app events, such as which screen was opened or which button was tapped;
- device and app information (model, OS and app version, locale, free memory and storage), plus your IP address as part of the network connection.
We don't use diagnostics to identify you or for advertising. Sentry keeps this data for a limited time, typically up to 90 days.
Feedback you send
Only if you chooseIf you use the in-app feedback form, we receive your message through Sentry. If you enter your email address, we receive that too, so we can reply. The App also remembers your email on your device to pre-fill the form next time. If you email us directly, we use your address and message only to answer you.
This website & Cloudflare
No cookiesbecatch.app sets no cookies, runs no analytics or tracking scripts and loads no third-party resources (even the fonts are hosted on our own domain). Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, Inc., processes your IP address and basic request data in short-lived server logs. This is needed to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
Apple
PlatformApple provides the App Store, in-app purchases and rating prompts. If you have turned on “Share with App Developers”, Apple also provides aggregated analytics and crash data. This is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.
4What we don't do
- Require or offer user accounts or sign-in.
- Sell or rent personal data.
- Show third-party advertisements.
- Track you across other companies' apps and websites, or access your device's advertising identifier (IDFA).
- Upload your medication or supplement plans, intake logs or any health-related information.
- Access HealthKit, contacts, photos, camera, microphone or location.
5Legal bases (GDPR)
| Processing | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Subscription validation (Apple, RevenueCat) | Performance of a contract, Art. 6(1)(b) |
| Delivering and protecting the website (Cloudflare) | Legitimate interest in running a secure website, Art. 6(1)(f) |
| Crash reports and diagnostics (Sentry) | Legitimate interest in keeping the App stable and secure, Art. 6(1)(f) |
| Feedback and support requests | Legitimate interest in answering your request, Art. 6(1)(f) |
| Legal obligations (tax, consumer law) | Art. 6(1)(c) |
6International transfers
RevenueCat, Sentry and Cloudflare are based in the United States. Transfers rely on the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and/or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, along with each provider's data processing terms.
7Data retention
| Data | Kept for |
|---|---|
| On-device data | Until you delete it in the App or delete the App |
| Diagnostics (Sentry) | Limited time, typically up to 90 days |
| Purchase records (RevenueCat, Apple) | As long as needed for your subscription and as required by law, e.g. tax and accounting rules |
| Feedback & support emails | As long as needed to handle your request, unless the law requires longer |
| Website server logs (Cloudflare) | Rotated automatically within days |
8Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or U.S. state laws such as the CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability.
- Data on your device (plans, logs, settings): you control it fully. Delete it by deleting the App.
- Purchase records (RevenueCat): email us the Order ID from your Apple receipt email, and we’ll delete the matching record.
- Feedback you sent us: email us from the address you used, and we'll delete it.
- Crash reports and diagnostics (Sentry): these aren't linked to your name, email or any account, so we usually can't tell which reports are yours. They're deleted automatically within about 90 days.
Write to support@becatch.app. We'll reply within one month. Because we don't have accounts, we don't collect extra information just to identify you (GDPR Art. 11). If we can't find data that belongs to you, we'll tell you.
You can also complain to a supervisory authority. In Poland, that's the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes UODO, uodo.gov.pl); elsewhere, the authority in your country of residence.
9Children
The App isn't directed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we'll delete it.
10Security
iOS app sandboxing and your device's security features (passcode, Face ID or Touch ID, data protection) protect the App's local data. Data sent to service providers travels over encrypted HTTPS connections.
11Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed. We'll announce material changes in the App or on this page.
